Bringing fresh fish to your door and learn how to fillet with Mark Hix at home

Mark Hix – filleting fish at home

LYME Regis restaurateur and celebrity chef Mark Hix has teamed up with  fish supplier Sound Seafood to bring fresh whole fish to your door – and learn how to fillet and cook at home.

Many people are little scared to tackle a whole fish from scratch, but with Mark’s simple online tutorials and recipes the home cook can see how simple it can be to prepare and cook tasty fresh fish at home. Not only will they pick up new skills and tips from Mark, but it supports the local fishermen who are unable to sell their fish to restaurants during this challenging time.

Each box contains two fish species and will serve either two or four people, with the contents changing weekly, and there is no commitment to buy on a regular basis like so many of the food boxes.

Once the customer has placed their order they will receive the recipes and an exclusive link to watch the online tutorial with Mark to learn how to fillet this week’s fish, before creating a delicious starter and main course.

As this is pre-recorded they watch in advance of the delivery and stop and start it as much as they wish, to cook at their own pace, rather than having to keep up with a live demo – which can often be a little tricky when there are new skills involved!

This is a great way to try new fish, learn some new filleting skills, and cook along with Mark in his Charmouth home.

The boxes are delivered on a Friday, with no delivery charge, to anywhere in England and Wales.
