A MAJOR police presence was seen in the Anning Road area of Lyme Regis on the afternoon of Thursday, June 17 as officers conducted a search.
Six police vehicles were seen in the residential street and a police helicopter circled the area.
It is understood that police carried out some door-to-door enquiries and searched at least one house in Anning Road for a person of interest.
They were seen patrolling areas around gardens behind Anning Road and told residents that there was no need to be concerned.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers are currently carrying out arrest enquiries in the area, assisted by the NPAS helicopter.”
LymeOnline has requested a further update on this incident but Dorset Police said it was unable to provide any further information.
