LOCAL blue-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Adam Sweet will be releasing the first single from his highly-anticipated album ‘Sink or Swim’ across digital platforms next month.
Adam was planning the launch the new album at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis in June, but this has unfortunately had to be postponed until further notice due to the coronavirus outbreak.
However, his single ‘You or Me’ will be available from May 1 on all major digital platforms, including Spotfiy, and as a download from his website www.adamsweetmusic.com
This will be the first single to be released from his album, which showcases a major step forward in Adam’s career with a sound that he’s developed by working closely with new band members Ian Jennings on bass and Gary Knoll on drums. The album also features on the UK’s finest blues harp players Ian Briggs.
With the tale of a chance encounter told via the internal dialogue of the listener, ‘You or Me’ anticipates a time when social distancing becomes a thing of the past.
“With brand-new paint and gleaming chrome, in ‘You or Me’, Adam Sweet drives, foot to the metal, blues-rock straight at and through you. The engine is strong, the driver is sure, and Ian Briggs lifts the lid and wails with harpist’s glee through the open top of the car.” – Rob Brown (First Thursday Blues Club).
‘You or Me’ was written by Adam and fellow local musician Steve Black, produced by Josiah J Manning, recorded at Momentum Studios in Plymouth. and mastered at LOUD Mastering, Taunton.
