JAZZ Jurassica promises a night of full on funk with new talent Jonah Hitchens on Friday, November 12 at Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis.
Jonah, a South West native, will be showcasing an exclusive preview of his new album, ‘Sunset Circus’.
The album is full of retro sounds and influences from the free wheeling psychedelic 60s to the cool funky vibes of the 70s.
Jonah studied jazz at Trinity Laban in London where he honed his craft as a guitarist, singer and lyricist.
He promises to deliver an explosive live show blending funk, psychedelia and jazz in one exhilarating mind-boggling performance.
Julie Sheppard, director of Jazz Jurassica, said: “Imagine Curtis Mayfield jamming with Jimi Hendrix – that’s Jonah. Soulful vocals, swirling guitar riffs and bucket loads of charisma.
“It’s a wild rollercoaster package. We’re so excited to bring you this exclusive performance from a new young talent. Get ready to funk!”
