STAFF at the new Water’s Edge Café in Lyme Regis were rushed off their feet on opening day.
The new café was kept busy when it opened in Coombe Street last Wednesday, offering healthy and wholesome breakfast, brunch and lunch.
Just a stone’s throw from the River Lim, the Waters Edge Café can be found in premises which formerly housed hat shop Pop Goes the Weasel.
The property has undergone an extensive refurbishment with everything finished to a high standard, a bright and airy interior and additional tables with parasols outside.
Owner Jason has patiently waited for lockdown restrictions to be eased to open his new business. A chef by trade, he is well experienced in the café business having previously set up successful brands in London before selling them to Marks & Spencer and later moving to Colyton.
His focus will be on quality, fresh produce with no fried food on offer. Rather than the usual bacon and sausages, the breakfast menu will include pastries, muesli, granola and muffins, while lunch will consist of rustic salads and sandwiches made to order, homemade quiches, soups and specials.
The Waters Edge Café will also be serving teas, coffees and blended drinks, including frappucinos and smoothies, as well as a delicious selection of cakes and Baboo Gelato ice cream.
The friendly team is sure to offer you a warm welcome inside, or a takeaway and delivery service is also available.
