LETTER: Car park signs would alleviate traffic chaos

I AM a relative newcomer to the area so during the summer passed the park and ride in the hope that I would get a car parking space in one of the town car parks.

As a result I spent time hunting for a space in vain and adding to the traffic in the town. I have heard from holidaymakers they experience this too.

I would think it would help to have a sign approaching the park and ride alerting drivers when town car parks are full and recommending the park and ride.

This surely would help to reduce unnecessary traffic.
