FOR years Latitude has been the trendiest festival, with the best bands, theatre, and speakers.
Now the festival has branched out into gig theatre and will be bringing its show ‘Pop Music’ to the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis.
Music is very much interwoven into the performance, but this is theatre and not a live music event.
G and Kayla are the last two left on the dancefloor after a wedding, and this is the setting for the rest of the play. ‘Danny Danger’ is the off-stage DJ playing the music that they are dancing to. It leads us through 30 years of pop music, and they tell their stories.
‘Pop Music’ is an emotionally contagious rollercoaster by Bruntwood Prize winner Anna Jordan. A night at the theatre like no other.
This is the latest gig-theatre extravaganza from the producers of ‘With A Little Bit of Luck’ by Sabrina Mahfouz and ‘Wasted’ by Kate Tempest.
The show will come to the Marine Theatre on Tuesday, November 27, with doors opening at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start.
Advance tickets cost £10 for adults, £7 for under 18s and £5 for Woodroffe School pupils, or buy them on the door for £12 per adult or £9 for under 18s. Theatre Friends will receive 10% off ticket prices.
