LYME Regis Rotarian Mark Tredwin boosted funds for two charities as he fundraised while taking part in Catherham Academy’s racing school.

Thanks to the efforts of Mr Tredwin and donations made at the recent Christmas Tree Festival, the Rotary Club of Lyme Regis was able to donate £300 to Julia’s House, the Dorset-based children’s hospice, and a similar amount to the Rotary’s Purple4Polio appeal.

A spokesperson for the club said: “Well Done Mark, and thanks to all who contributed to help us raise this amount. The Purple4Polio funds will be matched by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.”
