Photography group to host annual exhibition

AXMINSTER Photography Group will be hosting its annual exhibition in the new venue of The Light House from Monday, September 2 to Saturday 14.

Formerly known as The Marle Gallery, The Light House can be found at 1 Victoria Place, Axminster (EX13 5NQ). The exhibition will showcase work of the group’s members, who come from across the local area, and will be open from 10am to 4pm weekdays, and 10am to 1pm Saturday, closed Sunday. All are welcome and admission is free.

In addition there will be an open evening at The Light House at 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 11, so if you are new to photography or wondering how to get the best out of your camera, you would be welcome to come along and meet members.

John Lees ARPS will begin the evening with an illustrated short talk entitles ‘How can I take a picture like that with my camera?’ followed by a question and answer session, so feel free to bring your camera and examples of any images you would like to improve.

There is no charge for this event and it also offers the chance to view the 60 prints being shown in the exhibition.
