AUTUMN is here and Lyme Regis-based music charity B Sharp is launching a brand new creative project called Evolution, involving sound, music, and light.
The project is rolling out across Lyme Regis and Bridport and will bring together young muiscians from the area to work with B Sharp’s team of dedicated and inspiring music leaders and young trainee leaders .
The project is all about group music-making, composition, solo and performance, and most importantly having fun, meeting people and making friends along the way.
Young musicians, singers, aspiring technicians are all invited to come along to one of three ‘weekly jam’ nights to get involved, and at the end of term come together for what promises to be an evening of live performance with a bang on November 24th.
The project is for young people from aged eight to 18 years, up to 24 as a trainee.
Music leader Ellie Walker commented: “The team decided to focus on the theme of Evolution as it lends itself to all sorts of musical, sound and visual interpretation – we’ve got some great ideas which young people will definitely enjoy being a part of and inputting their own.”
Anyone who wants to be part of Evolution can come along for a free taster at The Hub in Lyme Regis on Tuesdays 6.30pm to 8.30pm (11-18 yrs old), or on Thursdays between 4pm and 5.15pm (8-11 yrs old), or Bridport Youth Centre on Mondays 6.30pm to 8pm (11-18 yrs old). Alternatively, email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up.
