Urquart returns for Reserves with two strikes

LYME Regis Reserves picked up thre e valuable points at home against Sampford Peverell.

The game at times felt like a pre-season friendly with the away side creating little or no threat on Lyme’s goal.

Shane Featherstone opened up the scoring with goals to follow from Jamie  Rodriguez, an own goal, and two fine strikes taken by the returning Joe Urquhart.

A late defensive mishap between there centre back and goalkeeper provided Sampford Peverell with single consolation goal.

With four more game left to play, this victory keeps the Reserves in fifth place in the Devon & Exeter league Division Four.

Their next game is away to Halwill 2nds on Saturday, April 27th.
