LYME Regis Football Club has a number of fundraising events lined up for the autumn and winter.
A wine and cheese evening will be held at the Davey Fort clubhouse in Charmouth Road on Saturday, October 20. Tickets cost £15, including a wine tasting session and food, and are available from the clubhouse bar on Saturday afternoons.
A Christmas shopping night will be held on Friday, November 16 from 7pm, with a range of stalls offering gifts for all the family. Entrance is free and the bar will be open.
A children’s Christmas party will be held on the afternoon of Sunday, December 2 with a visit from Father Christmas. Full details and ticket information will be announced soon.
The club’s popular Christmas auction will be held on Saturday, December 8 from 7pm. This annual event is one of the club’s biggest fundraisers and auction lots will include sports memorabilia, tickets and vouchers to sporting events, local attractions and restaurants.
The Seasiders have been busy hosting events all year, including their second Sausage & Cider Festival in August, which raised almost £5,000.
They have also launched a Sunday Lunch Club, which has proved a hit with regular supporters and tickets for the Christmas lunch have already sold out.
Money raised at events will be put towards the ongoing development of the clubhouse and ground. The next major project will be the construction of a grandstand, with planning permission expected imminently.
The club will also be undertaking extensive drainage work on the pitch next summer.
