Pub quiz boosts funds for lifeboat crew

A PUB quiz raised more than £220 for Lyme Regis lifeboat crew this week.

Craft beer bar Cellar 59, in Broad Street, took park in the World’s Biggest Pub Quiz – a fundraising campaign organised by Pub Aid – on Sunday evening and chose the RNLI as their charity.

The event was fully booked with almost 50 people taking part.

Seb Cope of Lyme Regis lifeboat crew said: “On behalf of the Lyme Regis lifeboat, thanks to Jon & Amanda from Cellar 59 for hosting a pub quiz as part of the World’s Biggest Pub Quiz challenge. Nearly 50 people attended and enjoyed the event and hospitality.”
