Music legend Jools Holland coming to Pecorama

Jools Holland is coming to Pecorama in Beer, East Devon, to launch a new steam locomotive

MUSIC legend Jools Holland is coming to one of East Devon’s favourite attractions, Pecorama, in Beer.

Pianist and former Squeeze musician Jools will be visiting Pecorama on Thursday, June 28 at 1.30pm to launch a new steam engine on its Beer Heights Light Railway.

Jools, who himself loves “the clickety-clack of a train on a track” and has “rhythm to spare” will be popping into the East Devon attraction on his way to Bands in the Sand at Perranporth beach in Cornwall, where he has a gig on the same night.

The new, yet to be named, locomotive has been refurbished at Pecorama over the last couple of years and will become the eleventh member of their fleet, comprising one electric tram, two diesel and eight steam engines.

Having had an interest in locomotives, railways and railway modelling for many years, Jools said: “I am thrilled and excited to be involved with this.”

Tickets to visit Pecorama are available online at and tickets for Jools Holland’s tour and albums are available at
