Preparations for Fossil Festival in full swing

PREPARATIONS for Lyme Regis Fossil Festival got underway with a weekend of making prehistoric marine reptiles at The Hub.

Organiser Dot Wood from Lyme Regis Development Trust was delighted with the results of the art workshop, and looks forward to the print making, banner painting and fish headdress workshops that are all taking place over the next couple of months.

Lyme Regis Development Trust has made a massive effort this year to involve as many local youngsters in the preparations leading up to the festival, which will be held in May, and hopes that the lantern parade planned on May 3 will be a showcase of a lot of their efforts.

Details of all the workshops and festival events can be found at www.fossilfestival.co.uk
