LYME Regis Regatta & Carnival Committee hosted another successful May Fete on Sunday.
The annual event was thought to be the biggest and best yet, including some 60 stalls and attractions, many raising funds for local good causes.
Held on the Anning Road playing field on a sunny Sunday afternoon, the event was officially opened by the Mayor of Lyme Regis, Councillor Michaela Ellis, and attracted many residents and visitors.
A programme of entertainment throughout the afternoon included displays by Lyme Regis Majorettes and Lyme Regis Taekwondo Club, Elizabethan dancing by children from St Michael’s Primary School and music by steel drummers Steel the Show, from the Blackdown Hills, and Wessex Star Disco.
Organisers have reported that local organisations raised more than £1,200 on the day and have thanked all those who supported and volunteered at the fete for helping to make it a “huge success”.
