A LYME Regis teenager has been praised by the RNLI, after collecting almost £900 for the charity during this year’s record-breaking Lifeboat Week.
The Lyme Regis and Charmouth RNLI Guild announced earlier this week that Lifeboat Week had raised an all-time record total of £34,765.
Joshua Denning, aged 14, was the most prolific collector of donations during the week, attending many events and raising almost £900 in his bucket.
He was presented with a certificate recognising his efforts by members of the crew and the RNLI Guild aboard the ‘Spirit of Loch Fyne’ lifeboat this week.
Joshua’s mum Annette also received an award for her dedication in helping her son.
Joshua is a keen supporter of community events and also collects during Lyme Regis Regatta & Carnival Week.
