GUESTS partied the night away at a Masked Spring Ball in aid of Cancer Research UK on Saturday night.

About 60 guests attended the ball, held at the Woodmead Halls in Lyme Regis, where top Dorset party band Ignition, from Bournemouth, had everyone up dancing from start to end.

Those attending threw themselves into the spirit of the event, sporting a range of colourful masks. Shelley Larcombe and Daniel Buckley were judged to have the best masks by members of the band and went home with a bottle of champagne each.

Guests also enjoyed cocktails on arrival, a sumptuous buffet prepared by volunteers from the Lyme Regis branch of Cancer Research UK, as well as a luxury raffle.

The Lyme Regis branch has raised more than £150,000 for Cancer Research UK since it was set up in 2008.
