Local artist raises funds for the RNLI

LYME Regis artist Jess Douglas has donated £130 to Lyme Regis lifeboat crew.

Jess, who is well known for her paintings of fishing boats and other vessels, raised the funds by selling copies of her Firefly National Championships promotional poster (pictured left) when the sailing event was recently held in the town.

Jess’ illustration was also used on the plaques handed out to competitors at the prize-giving ceremony.

Copies of the poster are still available via Jess’ website www.jessdouglas.com
