Festive fundraisers for Woodroffe School

THE Woodroffe School PTFA are running their annual winter raffle, with £400 in cash to be won.

Tickets cost just £1 and are available from Serendip bookshop in Broad Street, Lyme Regis, with all funds raised going towards buying necessary equipment for the school.

The PTFA wish to thank Lyme Bay Holidays, Unique Holiday Stays and The Pilot Boat for sponsoring the first, second and third prizes of £250, £100 and £50. Other prizes to be won include a £100 Harbour Inn voucher, £50 HIX Oyster & Fish House voucher, and hampers from Millers Farm Shop and Riverford Dorset Organic.

The draw will be made after the PTFA’s ‘Fun Festive Film Evening’ on Friday, December 13, where they will be screening a family-friendly Christmas film starring Kurt Russell, made by the producers of ‘Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone’ and ‘Home Alone’.

For licensing reasons, the PTFA cannot advertise the name of the film in advance, but for full details, ticket information and a link to the film’s trailer visit www.facebook.com/WoodroffeSchoolPTFA/

The school will be making use of its tiered seating in the main hall for the screening, with doors opening at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Tickets costing £5 include a soft drink and popcorn.

Non-Woodroffe School children and those aged under 11 are asked to be accompanied by an adult.
