Frank Sinatra hits at lunchtime concert

MORE than 65 people enjoyed Richard Fereday’s performance of many of Frank Sinatra’s best known hits at the latest lunchtime concert in Charmouth.

Monthly lunchtime concerts are held at St Andrew’s Church in aid of the Changing Spaces appeal, which aims to turn the church into more of a community venue.

Richard generously donated his time free of charge and Mary and Malcolm McNair provided light refreshments, which preceded the concert.

The next lunchtime concert will be held on June 19 at 12.30pm when local resident Maria Beazley will be singing a selection of Russian folk songs. She will be joined by two friends, Jane Gibson and Robert Coleridge, who will be playing more Russian music in the form of piano duets.

As usual the concert will be preceded by refreshments provided at 12noon.
