Café to host free lunch for those spending Christmas Day alone

THE Galley Café in Lyme Regis will host a free lunch on Christmas Day for those who are alone or struggling over the holiday period.

The Broad Street café will open its doors to the elderly, lonely, homeless and all those struggling for its Galley Giveback Community Christmas Lunch.

Donations of food have already been provided by Colyton Butchers, Cains Farm and others, and volunteers have come forward to help café owner Keian Gillett host the event.

Those wishing to attend must book in advance by calling 01297 445008. You can also call this number to refer someone you think may be interested, or to volunteer.
