LYME Regis-based music charity B Sharp is inviting inspiring and up and coming, or semi-professional original musicians, bands and singer-songwriters to enter a competition for the chance to perform at Bridport Sounds.
The live gig will be held on Saturday, July 21 at Bridport Arts Centre, and the first prize winner will headline the event and received £200. Second place will perform as the support act.
Ellie Walker, community musician, music leader for B Sharp and co-ordinator of Bridport Sounds, commented: “We’re excited to be launching this new venture. Bridport Sounds will not just give local talent a chance to play in a great gig on July 21, but will enable bands, singer-songwriters and musicians to take part in a brand new event sharing music making in new and exciting way in the region, and inspiring the next generation of musicians.”
