Paul McCaffrey will headline Lyme Regis Comedy Club

PAUL McCaffrey will headline the latest Lyme Regis Comedy Club on Thursday, March 15.

Bridport comedian and MC Tom Glover will introduce Paul and two other wits in a raucous night of laughs at the Marine Theatre. Paul has been heard on Russell Kane’s ‘Whistle-Stop Tour’ (BBC Radio 2) and is a regular guest on ‘The Matt Forde Show’ (talkSPORT).

He recently filmed the stand-up spot on ‘Russell Howard’s Good News; (BBC3) and is currently making a new show for BBC3.

“He has charm, charisma and success written all over him.” – The Evening Standard

Paul will be joined by comedians Suzy Benett and David Arnold on the night.

Originally from Devon, Suzy is a dynamo of a comic, with a chatty stage presence. She has been delighting audiences with her saucy comedy since “accidentally” reaching the finals of Jimmy Carr’s Comedy Idol on her first gig, and being asked by Jimmy to support him on his ‘Gag Reflex’ tour.

Since then she has been storming gigs up and down the country, as well as hosting the Playtex Moonwalk in Hyde Park for the last two years entertaining 17,000 people wearing a novelty bra!

David is a loveable Welshman who never fails to deliver a well-rounded and polished performance that has his audience laughing throughout. Despite only doing his first gig in late 2012 he is fast developing a reputation as one of the South West’s brightest talents and one not to be missed.

Regularly performing 20 minute sets as well as being an accomplished MC, he has performed everywhere from Jongleurs in Bristol to festivals such as Boardmasters & Volksfest Tickets for Lyme Regis Comedy Club cost £8 in advance or £10 on the door.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and seating is unallocated. To book call 01297 442138 or visit the website www.marinetheatre.com
