THE Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis has announced a special one-off concert from two prestigious musicians.

Amy Mayes sings regularly with blues musician Ben Waters. She recently performed at his Chuck Berry concert at Soho’s legendary Ronnie Scott’s, being joined on stage by Ronnie Wood and Johnny Depp.

As a world-renowned session guitarist Robbie McIntosh has accumulated a CV which beggars belief, playing with Tom Jones, Norah Jones, and John Mayer, but most famously as Paul McCartney’s guitarist. His last concert at the Marine Theatre was a full house.

Expect classic soul and blues, alongside original numbers. Amy signed to WHM Music and has released her debut EP, simply called  ‘An Introduction’. Tracks feature Robbie McIntosh, and pianist Ben Waters, plus her incredible band.

After graduating from Leeds College of Music in 1999, she studied under the jazz vocalist Tina May and sang in the Duke Ellington Repertoire Orchestra.

The concert will be held on Saturday, March 9 with doors opening at 7pm for an 8pm start.

Tickets cost £8 in advance or £10 on the door. To book, call 01297 442138 or visit www.marinetheatre.com
