Live screening of Oscar Wilde’s ‘An Ideal Husband’

A NEW production of Oscar Wilde’s masterpiece ‘An Ideal Husband’ will be broadcast live from the Vaudeville Theatre in the West End to the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis on Tuesday, June 5.

‘An Ideal Husband’ explores corruption and morality, bringing an act of political sin into the heart of the English home. An ambitious government minister, Sir Robert Chiltern’s smooth ascent to the top seems assured. Until Mrs Cheveley appears in London with damning proof of his past financial chicanery.

Starring real-life father and son Edward (The Day of the Jackal) and Freddie Fox, Olivier Award-nominated Frances Barber (Silk), Nathaniel Parker, Sally Bretton (Not Going Out) and Susan Hampshire (Forsyte Saga).
