Country band take Sunday Sessions headline slot

FOLLOWING a popular Facebook competition, South West band Square One has won a headline slot at the regular Sunday Sessions at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis.

The Sunday Sessions is a free monthly music event, headlined by one act. Guest musicians are welcome to come on the day and have a turn, creating a relaxed Sunday atmosphere, often with six or seven acts on the bill.

Previous headliners have included Robbie McIntosh, Jess Upton, Declan Duffy, and Street & Matthews.

Square One plays country fuelled southern having forged their sound and influences to create stomping rootsy riffs and catchy songs. Their live shows are energetic and powerful, bringing an all-American party to this side of the Atlantic.

Inspired by artists like Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean, alongside classic rock music they grew up listening to, Square One’s sound will get the most troubled of feet moving.

Local cellist Mischa Jardine will also be performing.

The Sunday Sessions will be held in the Marine Theatre on Sunday, February 10 from 5pm. Entry is free and there are no tickets.
