Concert to get you in the festive spirit

WEST Dorset Community Orchestra will perform their annual Christmas concert on Wednesday, December 11. 

The event will be held at St John’s Church in West Bay at 7.30pm, and will include a programme of festive music with mince pies and refreshments during the interval.

The programme will be led by conductor Walter Brewster with local vocals directed by Lesley Whatley.

The orchestra will be playing a variety of music including works such as ‘Christmas Piece’ by Mendelssohn, ‘Melodies from Cavalleria Rusticana’ by Mascagni, three movements from ‘Sci-Fi Suite’ by Kershaw, ‘The Skaters’ Waltz’ by Waldteufel and many Christmas favourites.

Entry is free but there will be a retiring collection.
