‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star performs in Lyme Regis

NOEL James, the semi-finalist of ITV series ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, will headline Lyme Regis Comedy Club this month.

Noel has a long career of performing stand-up, with shows at the Edinburgh Fringe dating back as far as 2001, and he is well known on the comedy circuit.

Known for his slightly absurdist take on comedy, The Independent said that he “stands out like a droll giant in a comedy land of trite dwarfs”. He also made a few TV appearances back in the 1990s, on Channel 4’s ‘Packing Them In’ and the BBC’s ‘The Stand Up Show’.

Also on the bill at this month’s comedy club is a favorite of Stuart Lee, who said, “Susan Murray’s baffled everywoman persona cloaks a dry, intelligent wit.”

“Anyone who loves the work of Sarah Millican and Kerry Godliman will find plenty to enjoy here” – The Guardian

Riordhan DJ will also perform, with resident compere Tom Glover hosting.

The comedy club will be held on Saturday, December 15 at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis. Doors open 7pm for an 8pm start.

Tickets cost £8 in advance or £10 on the door, with 10% off for Theatre Friends. To book, call 01297 442138 or visit www.marinetheatre.com. Ages 16 and over only.
