Booking fees slashed at Marine Theatre

LYME Regis’ premier arts venue, the Marine Theatre, has announced that booking fees have been slashed in a move which is anticipated to be popular with the local community.

Previously 10 per cent, tickets under £10 will now only have a 50p booking fee added and those of £10 and over will incur a booking fee of £1 when purchasing from Lyme Regis and Bridport Tourist Information Centres.

Tickets can be purchased without the booking fee from the venue on Wednesday mornings.

Theatre manager Sophia Moseley said: “We understand that booking fees can be unpopular with ticket holders – they are charged by ticket vendors to provide their service.

“We have worked hard with the Tourist Information Centres to significantly reduce the cost, which is great news for people in the town trying to save money.”
