Aroma strikes gold for sixth year

AROMA Café in Lyme Regis has added to its plethora of awards, having recently received a Gold accolade in the cafés and tearooms category of the Taste of the West awards.

This is the sixth year in a row the café has won the award, and its Bridport branch has also received the same prize this year.

Owner John Kellas is now hoping his two branches will face each other in the Best of the South West Awards, which Lyme Regis won in 2014 and Bridport has been a finalist at for the past two years.

The Lyme Regis branch’s latest accolade is its third award this year, having won the Family Dining category in the Dorset Food and Drink Awards and a prize from Luxe Magazine.

It is now launching a new menu, adding to its wide selection of homemade dishes for vegans and those with special dietary requirements, as well as introducing sharing platters. The café is open for breakfast, brunch and lunch, while the Dark Bear cocktail bar takes over the Bridge Street premises in the evenings, every Wednesday to Saturday.

Aroma Café also offers a ‘Share there Love’ card, with cardholders receiving 10 per cent off food orders.
