THIS year marks the eleventh anniversary of the Woodroffe School’s very successful French exchange with Lycée Hector Berlioz in Vincennes, Paris.
This year, the school welcomed 20 French pupils, who paired up with some of our Woodroffe’s Year 11, 12 and 13 linguists.
The French students visited Mrs Ethelston’s and St Michael’s Primary Schools on their first day and spent the next day at Woodroffe, enjoying time at the beach after school hours.
The Woodroffe students were excited to share with them their British way of life, as well as the breathtaking local scenery.
After only five days together students were sad to part ways on the Monday morning but have remained in touch via social media, consolidating their friendships and continuing to practise their language skills.
The Year 12 and 13 students will be returning the visit next March to experience a similar adventure in French schools and to discover some of the most beautiful landmarks of Paris.
