AS usual the sun came out just in time for the annual fete at the Roman Catholic Church of St Michael & St George in Lyme Regis.

The traditional event was opened by the Mayor of Lyme Regis, Councillor Michaela Ellis, and her husband Alan, who were presented with gifts by children of the church.

Stalls included cakes, bric-a-brac, books, toys and games for children, as well as a grand draw with a top prize of £100 and refreshments served in the old school building.

Father Anthony Cockram welcomed everyone to the fete and encouraged them to spend their money to help with repairs to the church tower.
