THE Bridport and Lyme Regis branch of the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA) recently presented a plaque to Camile Hilton, landlord of the Lord Nelson in Bridport, to thank her for hosting their meetings over the past two years.
As a major charity, RAFA is committed to supporting the RAF family whether currently serving, or former serving, in a wide range of ways, delivering help and support where it is needed.
A recent car boot sale hosted by the Bridport and Lyme Regis branch in West Bat raised £245 for the charity.
Ordinary members of RAFA are members who have served the RAF, Reserves, Royal Observer Corps, one of the Commonwealth Air Forces, or are aged over 18 and in the Air Cadet Organisation. An associate membership option is also available to people outside of the RAF who would like to support the charity’s aims and objectives.
For more information about joining the Bridport and Lyme Regis RAFA, contact Alan Kidson 01308 420135 or Bill Davies 01308 281200. Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at 6pm in the Lord Nelson, Bridport.
