Children invited to display their artwork

CHILDREN are being invited to create and display artwork at the Town Mill in Lyme Regis.

Following its recent successful open exhibition for adult artists, the Town Mill has decided to open the concept up to children and young people up to the age of 18.

Youngsters can submit a piece of artwork they have already completed for just £2, or they can take part in events this weekend to create a new piece of work, including paintings and drawings of still life set up in the gallery.

The events will be held on Saturday, August 24, Sunday 25 and Monday 26 from 10am to 11am for those who pre-book and from 11am to 1pm for drop-ins. It costs £5 to take part, including all materials, and youngsters will be able to create one piece for display and one to take home.

Artwork will then be displayed in the Town Mill’s Courtyard Gallery until September 5.

Please note, the Town Mill is unable to return any artwork that is exhibited.
