THE latest exhibition at the Town Mill’s Malthouse Gallery in Lyme Regis, ‘Earth Tones’, is now opened and will run until Sunday, November 17.

This joint exhibition has been created by Devon artists Lisa Parkyn and Martin Staniforth. It is the second time that they have chosen to display their work together, bringing painting and sculpture responses to nature through a range of media – clay, acrylic, bronze, oil and charcoal.

Lisa paints the untamed landscapes surrounding her; the wilds of Dartmoor, the energetic River Otter and the crumbling Jurassic cliffs, reminiscent of the Kalahari sands from her African childhood.

Sculptor Martin shapes figurative and abstract pieces that explore emergence, regeneration and natural progression, drawing influences from nature and mankind’s experience of nature.

The exhibition is open daily from 11am to 4pm and admission is free.

Town Mill gallery manager, Petrina Muscroft, commented: “The Town Mill Galleries are always looking to invite new artist to exhibit at either of our gallery spaces. We are extremely pleased with how visitors are engaging with our artists, and the diverse programme we have to offer.”
